A paper on insights and reflections on developing diaspora engagement.
iDiaspora, the Global Research Forum on Diaspora and Transnationalism (GRFDT), the Global Diaspora Confederation (GDC), and the Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP) have authored a new publication titled “Impactful Skills, Strategies and Innovative Tools.”
Released on August 9, 2023, in English, the publication outlines insights, reflections, recommendations, as well as key highlights from the 2023 Global Diaspora Virtual Exchanges.
This year, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), iDiaspora, GRFDT, GDC, and the MYCP, partnered to organize three Global Diaspora Virtual Exchanges on communication, which aimed to boost diaspora engagement for development. The core focus was on refining communication techniques, strategic frameworks, and cutting-edge tools within the intricate tapestry of project management. By providing concrete strategies on how to enhance communication skills, considering strategic techniques, and implementing new tools, stakeholders can maximize the impact of their transnational initiatives.
The Global Diaspora Virtual Exchanges led by IOM and key partners was a unique space where diasporas shared best practices at the global level and collaborated with each other to empower themselves and other diaspora leaders and organizations as development actors.
