Episode Thirty Five

Understanding and Application

“In all thy getting, get understanding”.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

The above two statements are powerful. One is Biblical (Prov. 4:7). The other is spiritual from “Nelson Mandela”. Both statements share the same meaning.

Wisdom is powerful, but understanding in all levels of wisdom is needed.

I recently heard a podcast on wisdom. At least three types of wisdom were described.

The wisdom of man. An educated man can lean on his education, consequently his own learned understanding. He can deny the power of spiritual guidance, and be defeated.

Experienced wisdom, guided wisdom can overtake learned wisdom. A great executive, without spiritual wisdom, can miss the mark in the role of husband, wife, mother or father. A rich man can be a greedy fool, and not understand the spiritual implications of his greed. An ascended leader can be spiritually void of understanding and unprepared for the journey and burdens ahead.

Competency can be overrated. An educated man can deny counsel. Understanding the importance of “spiritual wisdom” is the core foundation in the application of knowledge. Unfortunately, the wisdom of man can often lack spiritual understanding.

An educated man can walk with other educated fools and become a fool himself. An educated man can miss the spiritual purpose and consequences that are part of his assignment as a leader. An educated leader can bring his nation to ruins through greed and spiritual ignorance, “lack of understanding”.

Then there is the wisdom of the evil one. This wisdom is disguised as almost spiritual and angelic in its manifestation. This is the most insidious and deceptive of all wisdom, consequently the most dangerous. When you leave yourself void of spiritual covering, (God’s wisdom, His light, and His way) you are receptive to the cunning and deceptive influence of the evil one. The word of God says “he is like a roaring lion looking to see who he may destroy”.

The wisdom of the serpent is used very skillfully. It is a precise, and intentional wisdom used to strike at the root to create a specific outcome then destroy. The serpent studies the pattern needs and responses of its target. Then he applied his wisdom to discipline the target’s response to specific words.

Words that are repeated frequently. This pattern takes the target into an altered state of acceptance without question. The serpent wisdom is cunning, calculating and based on greed, outcome, and is selfish in nature. It is full of self and “I am, I did”, etc. The serpent appears to those that follow to be a great or charismatic leader, but he is a “lion in sheep’s clothing”. It is the Pied Piper in motion, or the serpent in the garden.

The most sacred, secure and powerful is The “WISDOM OF GOD”.

One of God’s instructions to us is to “lean not on your own understanding” or your wealth, your success, assets, personal or military might, or your knowledge because all can fail you. He advises us to trust him, and ask him for wisdom. Further instructions say “In all your ways acknowledge him and he, (his divine wisdom) will direct our path.

Only God can make an army where the least can take down a greater army by releasing the right strategic system. His spiritual wisdom will allow a less educated man to outwit a scholar. A mighty city or financial system can be decimated with a specific pattern of events. He can remove a crown or cause our health to fail you. Your followers may turn against you. Your mind can fail you. A leader can fall, Power can fail. Deception and greed can overtake you. Fear may cause you to be impulsive.

However, it is the spirit of God within you that will manifest supernatural and divine power to give you the specific guidance, strength and wisdom to prevail. It is a wisdom that comes from the creator himself. The God that sees today, knows your tomorrow and has already curated your journey..

God’s wisdom will never fail you. He knew you before you were even born. If any of us lacks wisdom, we can ask him. And he will give it to us freely and willingly. Wow!, who or what can surpass that. God, the “king” above all kings.

The challenge is, regardless of our faith, are we positioned in a place of intimacy with God to receive his wisdom? Are we a willing or rebellious vessel under his spiritual leadership? Do we have the heart to hear, understand, receive and apply God’s wisdom without question?
