Executive Partner for Financial Services deepens support for Hispanic Christian churches, ministries and families nationwide.
America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU) is spotlighting its partnership with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) as the organization marks 25 years of ministry during Hispanic Heritage Month. ACCU serves as NHCLC’s first and only Executive Partner for Financial Services, a role created to strengthen the financial health of Hispanic Christian churches, ministries and families nationwide.
NHCLC and ACCU announced the partnership in February 2025 at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) annual conference in Grapevine, Texas, combining NHCLC’s network of pastors and congregants with ACCU’s financial expertise. Since then, the two organizations have expanded their work together, including a joint statement in February 2026 with Rev. Samuel Rodriguez and ACCU President and CEO Vicki VannBerstein in support of the Dignity Act, a bipartisan immigration reform bill. ACCU, a full-service financial institution founded in 1958 by five Nazarene pastors, now serves more than 150,000 members and 2,000 ministries nationwide with more than $800 million in assets, with a mission focused on serving the financial needs of Christian individuals, churches and ministries.
“Hispanic Heritage Month is a chance to recognize the faith and resilience of the communities NHCLC represents, and to celebrate 25 years of Rev. Rodriguez’s leadership,” said Vicki VannBerstein, President and CEO of ACCU. “Our partnership gives pastors and families the financial tools to build stronger churches, schools and futures.”
“For 25 years, NHCLC has fought for the dignity and prosperity of Hispanic Christians across this nation,” said Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, President of NHCLC. “ACCU shares that mission, and together we are equipping our pastors and congregations with the financial literacy and resources they need to thrive.”
As part of the partnership, NHCLC affiliates automatically qualify for ACCU membership, giving pastors, congregants and ministries access to:
- Financial education and stewardship training for pastors and church leaders
- Lending and credit access for ministries, Christian schools and families
- Competitive savings and deposit accounts through a nationwide network of shared branches
- Joint advocacy on issues affecting Hispanic Christian communities
As NHCLC begins its next 25 years, ACCU said it plans to deepen the partnership through expanded financial education and lending programs for Hispanic churches, ministries and Christian schools nationwide. Both organizations pointed to Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs through Oct. 15, as an opportunity to introduce more pastors and families to the resources available through the partnership.
