International Organisation for Migration (IOM)’s Regional Offices in Buenos Aires and San José have produced a report on ‘Recent Migration Trends in the Americas.’
The report “provides a general overview of migration in the Americas as well as information on key trends, regular pathways, migrants’ contribution to sustainable development, and climate and environmental change as a human mobility and migration driver.”
It is also aimed at informing discussions at the Summit of the Americas in June 2022 by providing background on migration on the continent, and in particular recent dynamics pending data availability.
The free report, which provides immigration and emigration statistics is available in English and Spanish.
