Yah Nii Armah Blackwell (Yahu Blackwell) is the first Osu Lumor from the 400-year Osu African diaspora.
He was enstooled by the Osu Paramount Stool — HRM TeTeeTe Nii Nortey Owuo IV, and reigning under the stool name; King Gebejelor The First.
The newly enstooled King At Large’s “Noryaa Mantse” ancestors were purchased from the Osu Slave Castle (Ghana) and were later sold in Yorktown, Virginia (USA). GaDangme royals were sold and later renamed by the Blackwell Plantation Owners.

Peter Blackwell’s mother was Julia 1786 – 1882 (born a slave in Virginia).
His son was Royston Austin Blackwell.
Born a slave on December 18th, 1833 in (died 1910 in Baltimore, MD USA), he escaped slavery in Northumberland County (VA) when the Union troops came. He made his way to Baltimore, and by September enlisted in the “Revenue Cutter Service”. There he served from September to the summer of 1865.
