Members of the Indian diaspora in Dhaka have joined in the launch of the ‘Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign’ at the High Commission of India in Bangladesh.
The tourism campaign is geared at promoting India to the diaspora and the rest of the world.
Launching the campaign earlier on in March 2024 simultaneously with another event for the same purpose in Srinagar, India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi requested that members of his diaspora must encourage at least five non-Indian friends to travel to India.
India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pranay Verma, other officials, staff members of the High Commission and members of the Indian diaspora in Bangladesh were present at the chancery building during the launch of the campaign.
