The 2023 edition of the Global Diaspora (GD) Week is set to be held virtually from the 8th till the 14th of December.

This year’s GDWeek will be held under the theme ‘Collective Diaspora Impact in the Context of Global Partnership’; and would host an impressive lineup of speakers from diaspora organisations who would take stage at the event.

The Global Diaspora (GD) Forum will also be held during GDWeek on the 8, 9, and 10 December 2023, virtually.

The GDForum serves as an advocacy platform for diaspora organisations to share diaspora experiences, practices, expertise, challenges and needs; facilitating networking opportunities that will open doors for potential partnerships and collaborations.

This year’s event will be opened by Amy Pope, Director General of the IOM, and closed by Ugochi Daniels, Deputy Director General of the IOM.

The diverse backgrounds, unique perspectives, and leadership roles of the speakers within their organisations will make the event one to look forward to.

Organised by the Global Diaspora Confederation, the event will be attended by Diaspora Organizations, stakeholders, such as governmental, international organizations, private sector, Humanitarian actors, NGO’s and other organization representatives that support the diasporas’ vision, mission and causes.
