The 14th Edition of CADA’s Art Basel Panel will be held at the Art Deco Museum on Miami Beach on the 9th and 10th of December 2023.

This year, under the leadership of Valerie Cooper, the Community Outreach Consultant for the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, CADA will also stage a second panel discussion on the art collection at three leading HBCU institutions. These are the University of Virgin Islands, Florida Memorial University and Spelman College.

The event will convene on Saturday December 9, 2023, from 11:00am-1:00pm EST, at the Art Deco Museum, 1001 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139 United States .

The panel will focus on the digitalization of the HBCUS art collections and will include Dr. Cheryl Finley (Spelman College), Valerie Cooper, the Community Outreach Consultant for the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, Dr. Chenzira Davis Kahina (University of the Virgin Islands), Sabastian Grant (The Parson School of Design) and Cheryl Wilcher (Florida Memorial University).
The Panel Discussions, organized by Contemporary African Diaspora Art – CADA will be coupled with an art exhibition (Black Euphoria), curated by Ludlow Bailey. (www.cada.us)
