As part of the ongoing three-day Future Forum which will help catalyse engagement within the diaspora-development ecosystem, there will be an informal online Networking Session halfway through the conference which aims at looking ahead on how networking will look like.

Diaspora Digital News’ Theresa R. Fianko will represent as a ‘Special Guest’ for the Technology & Community themed space of the futuristic Networking Session from 15:30-16:30 (CEST) on Wednesday 23rd June 2021.

Hosted by the European Union Global Diaspora Facility (EUDiF) in partnership with the Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY), the Future Forum will see players share ideas and best practices whilst looking ahead by finding ways to maximise the potential of diaspora engagement for development.

Step into the future with this experimental Networking Session

The Networking Session will recreate the feeling of the future of human interaction online, with all actors in the diaspora-development ecosystem meeting and mingling in this virtual, informal, peer-to-peer activity.

There will be five themed spaces with few Special Guests ready to exchange in various languages. The themes which are topics of interest for the diaspora-development are:

Youth Collaboration

Representation

Tech & Community

Humanitarianism

 Investment
