The Global Diaspora Confederation with the support of International Organization for Migration (IOM) is calling on all Diaspora Organizations to participate in its upcoming validation meeting.
The event will be held virtually on September 24, 2022 between 1-3pm UTC.
The validation meeting will present, validate and prioritize the ‘asks’ from the last consultation meeting held for the Global Diaspora Humanitarian Hub aimed at supporting organizations before, during and after crisis.
As an organization that exists to empower Diaspora Organizations for people, the Global Diaspora Confederation (GDC) is a global movement of Diaspora Organizations working towards a world of unity, peace and advancement.
GDC aspires to be the world’s most united organization by building an inclusive movement where all Diaspora Organizations can be supported, belong to, discover and realize their ambitions in order to achieve peace, unity, and social and economic advancement for all.
It will be recalled that GDC organized a Consultation Meeting for Diaspora Organizers and Supporters in July 2022 to explore how stronger diaspora coordination can better support communities affected by disasters and other crisis; as well as on the development of the humanitarian hub.
