The UN General Assembly (UNGA), through a resolution proclaimed 18 December as International Migrants Day, to globally mark the anniversary of its 1990 adoption of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families.

Here are ten virtual events you can participate in starting from 11-18 December 2022, to commemorate this year’s celebrations.

The Global Diaspora Week 2022

The Global Diaspora Week 2022, taking place virtually between 11 and 17 December (and currently underway) will see major global activities facilitated by the Global Diaspora Confederation (GDC) to advocate, discuss, debate and make recommendations on subjects pertaining to diaspora and their supporting communities.

Awards Ceremony – iDiaspora Photo Contest 2022

The International Organisation for Migration, SEGIB, and IBER-RUTAS will host the Awards Ceremony for the iDiaspora Photo Contest 2022, on December 15, 2022 at 4pm CET. The event will livestream on the IOM-UN Migration LinkedIn Page, with interpretation in English and Spanish.

Webinar on “Migration, Inclusive Cultural Diversity and Integration” by UNIMED
